Last school year we recognized that an area of weakness of hours was definitely planning the episodes. This is both in terms of coming up with an idea, working out the technicalities, scripting it, organizing props and equipment, notifying the actors, filming, and finally, sending it off to approval and then to the bulletin. This is a very very long and time consuming process and we recognized that we should have an easier time with it if we designated a given about of time each week to just focus on those specific tasks and create much tighter schedules for ourselves and assign more task-specific role to each of us as leaders so we can get everything done well and on time. Planning. Its difficult work. We found that it is much much easier and more productive to collaborate in smaller groups so we three meet on Wednesdays by ourselves to come up with an idea, work out the technicalities then we meet online on Friday night to finish scripting it and organisnsg props and equipment, then Moustafa notifies the rest of the group and we are ready to film Saturday Morning. Mous is done editing by Monday where we watch it and give feedback, by Wednesday, Andrew sends it to Ms Pemba who has it in the bulletin by Thursday. Planning - what a useful skill to have developed!
